Zalze wines hail from Kleine Zalze Estate, situated just three kilometers outside of Stellenbosch, South Africa. Location on a variety of slopes, soils and aspects, the vineyards that bear the fruit for the Zalze range of wines are exposed to fresh ocean breezes from the False Bay, which lies a mere 15 kilometers away. This cool climate yields delivate flavours, while at the same time providing optimal growing and ripening conditions to our fruit.

THE “ZALZE” TREE
When you visit Kleine Zalze Estate, one of the first things you will see - raised above the vineyards - is the tree that has become the icon of the Zalze range. It has been watching silently over the vineyards for generations, observing how tradtition has been maintained while at the same time following new principles and techniques that enhance and improve the quality of our wines.
